Yuzaidi Yusoff is a professional with over 30 years of consulting and entrepreneurial experience in various trades and a diversified portfolio of companies and industries in Asia. Spent a significant amount of his time at Accenture, one of the world’s leading management and technology consulting companies, before starting up his own boutique consulting firm. Yuzaidi Yusoff is currently the Independent Non-Executive Director of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam), the first pure-play full-fledged Islamic financial institution listed in the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. Hj Mohd Suhaimi Bin Hj Abdul Hamid was appointed to the Board and as the Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad on 16 March 2019. He joined Standard Chartered in 2009 and has both conventional and Islamic banking experience in multiple functions across retail, corporate and commercial banking. He has also garnered domestic and regional exposure throughout his career in local and multinational financial institutions.

Liza Mydin is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at Export-Import Bank of Malaysia. She facilitates, drives and monitors the execution of the bank’s strategic plans and ensures broad cohesion for the Bank’s strategic priorities and its developmental mandate. She is also leading sustainability and develops implementation plans relating to low carbon transition and impact initiatives. Prior to EXIM Bank, she was leading the development and implementation of Social Impact solutions for Maybank Islamic. She co-developed the country’s and the bank’s first Social Impact Deposit initiative to extend financial relief to those whose incomes were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, she was seconded to Maybank Group as Sustainability Co-Lead and was instrumental in developing the Group’s five years Sustainability strategy and commitments. Liza has a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Finance and ESG Investing from the Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University and holds a PhD in Islamic Finance from INCEIF. In 2016, she undertook a Visiting Scholar position at the George Washington University, Washington D.C., where she conducted post doctoral research and became co-founding member of the Islamicity Indices, a global initiative aimed to encourage reformation and socio-economic development in Muslim countries. Liza co authored three books in 2020, 2018 and 2017, they are titled The Handbook of Analytical Studies in Islamic Finance & Economics (De Gruyter, Berlin), Reformation and Development in the Muslim World (Palgrave Macmillan, New York) and Resource Rich Muslim Countries and Islamic Institutional Reforms (Peter Lang, Bern Switzerland). She has published a number of thought leadership articles and journals, in 2019 she co wrote a research paper with Schroders under the Maybank Islamic Centre of Excellence titled The Alignment of Shariah and Sustainable Investing. Dr. Mohsin Ali is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University, Malaysia, with over 6 years of experience in higher education. He possesses a diverse background, having previously worked in the financial services industry at a commercial bank in Pakistan. Dr. Ali is an accomplished researcher, with publications in renowned finance journals, such as Economic Modelling, Pacific Basin Finance Journal, and others. He is also the author of “Islamic Finance Trading Framework,” a book published by Palgrave. Dr. Ahmet Aysan is a full Professor, Associate Dean for Research and the Program Coordinator of the Ph.D. and MSc programs at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. He has been the Board Member and Monetary Policy Committee Member of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye and served at various institutions such as the World Bank, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, and Oxford Analytica. Mohd Radzuan Ahmad Tajuddin graduated from the National University of Malaysia in 1987, majoring in Finance with a Second Class Upper Degree. He spent serving the Securities Commission Malaysia for 23 years in the area of regulatory supervision and development, and specialises in the area of corporate finance; bond and sukuk markets; prospectus disclosures; and operations and development of Malaysia’s Islamic capital market. Mr Radzuan is currently a short-term consultant (on Green Taxonomy, Islamic Green and Sustainable Finance and Carbon Market Development) World Bank Group, Consultant to Asian Development Bank-affiliate Sustainable Finance Institute Asia (on Climate Finance), Director (Islamic Sustainable Finance), AIFA Consulting Sdn Bhd, Consultant. He is also a training consultant to the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) on Islamic green and sustainable finance. He also sits as an Investment Committee Member of BIMB Investment Management Berhad, a leading Islamic ESG-based fund management company and a subsidiary of the nation’s first Islamic bank, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad; His recent works include project consultant for the World Bank on development of an SRI Taxonomy, a member consultant for Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), Khazakhstan, for development of a Masterplan on Islamic Finance for the AIFC and Khazakhstan; and a member consultant to the Indonesian Government for development of a Masterplan on Indonesia’s Islamic Economy, launched in May 2019 by the President of Indonesia.
