Faith has been serving as a legal counsel of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad for the past nine years. She brings with her a wide spectrum of legal experience, particularly in the plantation, manufacturing, property and pharmaceutical industries. As in-house counsel of the companies that she served, she was involved in mergers and acquisitions, capital market and fund-raising corporate exercise, operations, intellectual property, corporate restructuring, legal employment matters, dispute resolutions and management of corporate and commercial litigations in and outside Malaysia. Faith obtained LLB (Hons) from Bond University, Australia as a scholarship holder and further obtained LLM from University of New South Wales. The following year, she was called to the Legal Profession Admission Board of New South Wales as an advocate and solicitor. She has lived and studied in Australia for seven years, practicing in constitution law and administrative law in Sydney with specific focus on legal issues arising from migrants and refugees in Australia. Upon her return to Malaysia, Faith started her first in-house role. Her eight years with a pharmaceutical company, saw her rise to the rank of head of legal, before she made a career move to join Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad.
Jasmine, based in Kuala Lumpur, leads Microsoft’s Corporate External and Legal Afairs for the ASEAN region and emerging markets. With over 27 years of award-winning experience, she brings extensive expertise in legal, policy, regulatory engagement, and communications. Prior to Microsoft, Jasmine held leadership positions at Dell, the UNDP, and the United Nations Executive Office of the Secretary-General in New York. She is the first Malaysian appointed to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) and was honored with the inaugural WIM’s Tan Sri Napsiah Omar Women Leaders Award.
Jasmine holds a double degree in Law from the International Islamic University in Kuala Lumpur, pursued post-graduate studies in the UK, and earned a Ph.D. in business and human rights. With admission to practice law in the State of Washington, she is currently an Adjunct Professor at the UNITAR International University and has received an Honorary Doctorate for her outstanding leadership and contributions in Public Policy and Governance.
Sharin is the Group Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Fusionex International, a technology market leader specializing in Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things and IR 4.0. Having more than a decade of multi-jurisdictional experience specializing in the fields of technology, mergers and acquisitions, corporate, banking and finance, Sharin provides strategic legal advice to the Group, leading a team that oversees all contractual matters and negotiations. She also works closely with key stakeholders, pillar heads and regional leads across the business to fortify regulatory compliance within the Group. Her role also extends to lending commercial insights to the Group, based on skills honed in the course of her career to ensure business of the Group continues without disruption.

She started her career as a lawyer at DLA Piper covering EMEA regions. In the last couple of years, she worked based in Angola, Dubai and currently Singapore based, covering both MENAP and APAC regions. She is 14 PQ experienced in legal, compliance & the regulatory landscape in Tech, Fintech & Payments sectors, helping tech companies building their programs, obtaining and maintaining their licenses with financial regulators and building specialised teams in the legal and compliance space across the world. In the last few years, she has developed a particular interest in the crypto & blockchain legal and regulatory compliance verticals.
Adrian Ooi currently provides legal services, consultation, and operations management for all 6 Millennium & Copthorne Singapore hotels, as well as the other hotels located in the South-East Asia region. He handles the dispute resolution process, the data protection compliance as well as corporate financing support for the M&C group treasury. Providing support to the other various functions such as global marketing, loyalty programmes, hospitality systems and global IT services, Adrian works closely with the business leaders in promulgating Blue Ocean value. Just prior to this, he was Senior Director, Legal at MindChamps PreSchool Limited, a premier provider of early education, childcare and preschools in APAC; Head of Legal for Next Story Group, a hospitality group having hotels in Australia, Singapore and India; and Deputy Director, Legal for Oakwood in its Asia Pacific headquarters. Oakwood has a global worldwide presence, and is a market leader for Serviced Apartments. He has had overseas posting experience with Peacock Pavilion Restaurant Management (Chengdu) Pte Ltd, as General Manager/Counsel since November 2011, of which he oversaw the company’s operations and finances. He also had the opportunity to draft protocol and procedures, and ensured their smooth implementation both for front line service staff and back-end kitchen crew. Thereafter he worked with ST Electronics (Info-Comm) Pte Ltd, a company under the Singapore Technologies Limited, a Singapore Government Linked Company, where he headed the Legal Unit. Having governmental and public office exposure, he served as Senior Legal Counsel in the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (“CAAS”) for close to a year, and served about 4 years as Deputy Public Prosecutor, assisting the Attorney General and senior prosecutors in enforcing Singapore’s rule of law. He handled theft and property related offences,including financial fraud, complicated Ponzi scams and money laundering matters. He further dealt with bribery, corruption, capital siphoning and other corruption cases in a senior role. He holds an Masters in Accountancy and Finance, and 2 bachelor’s degrees, the first being an L.L.B. (2nd Class Upper Honours), and the other being B.Sc in Applied Accountancy (1st Class Honours). He is a fellow of both ACCA and CIArb. He also completed recently the Graduate Certificate in International Arbitration at the prestigious NUS.
Dr Carrine Teoh Chooi Shi (CISSP, CBCP) is Chief Strategy Officer at Bond Holdings.
With over 20 years of experience in engineering technology and cybersecurity, her
areas of expertise are CNI protection, standards and privacy. She has vast experience
in cybersecurity frameworks, ISO 27001, Common Criteria, PDPA, Cyber Ethics and
Critcal Infrastructure Protection. She is passionate about synergy of business and
technology, emphasizing on digital economy and cybersecurity. Dr Carrine advocates
women in technology especially in cybersecurity. She champions empowerment and
active involvement of women in technology and cybersecurity. She is passionate
about developing the next generation of cybersecurity talents, by mentoring and
sharing her knowledge and skills.
Dr Carrine is Vice President of ASEAN CIO Association (Cybersecurity & Governance
Chapter). In addition, she is Global Chapter Security & Cyber Security Committee in
Della Leaders Club, global forum of leaders that brings people to positively impact the
world. She is also VigiTrust Global Advisory Board member and Institute of Corporate
Directors Malaysia (ICDM) member. She is part of Organisation for Women in Science
for the Developing World (OWSD), Association of Information System (AIS) and
Malaysian Institute of Management. She was part of the team which spearheaded
Malaysian Women in Security (MYWiS). She is Vice President for Nanyang
Technological University Singapore Alumni (Malaysia). Dr Carrine was awarded Top
30 Women in Cybersecurity in ASEAN 2021. She is appointed Awards Selection
Committee for Cybersecurity Woman of the Year 2021. In 2021, she was named as
Top 10 Linkedin ASEAN Cybersecurity Influencers 2021. Dr Carrine was awarded Top
10 Women in Security in Malaysia 2020.
She holds PhD in Information Technology (Cybersecurity) from Universiti Teknologi
Petronas, Malaysia, Master of Business Administration from University of South
Australia, Australia and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) from
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is a Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).
She champions women in cyber security and cyber safety for all. She actively involved
in cybersecurity curriculum development in universities, and passionately promotes
cybersecurity in schools and universities through cyber safety talks and career
development talks. She had also provided video recordings trainings in cybersecurity
through online trainings facilities. Dr Carrine also promotes STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) especially to girls in school. She
champions women leadership and women in technology, by actively creating activities
and awareness on the matter. She had also hold advisory board and jury roles in
IndoSec Conference 2022 (Indonesia) and PhilSec Conference 2022 (Philipines), jury
for ASEAN Women in Security Award 2022 and other mentoring programs by
Association of Information Systems (AIS) and Nanyang Technological University
Singapore (NTU).

Zabri plays major role of ensuring the competent and efficient overall strategic and operations of CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) Cybersecurity Responsive Services Division. The division consists of Digital Forensics Department, MyCERT Department, Cyber Threat Intelligence Department and Secure Technologies Services Department. Zabri graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Computer Science (2001) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and obtained his Master in Business Administration (2018) from University Kebangsaan Malaysia. He has more than 18 years experiences in handling computer crimes, computer related crimes forensics examination for various law enforcement agencies in Malaysia. This is also including handling e discovery cases for civil claim and corporate domestic inquiry. Zabri has completed the digital evidence case investigation circle by testifying in Malaysia High Court Session Court Intellectual Property Court, Magistrate Court and Royal Commission of Inquiry including many high-profile cases. Zabri is also among the pioneer scientists in CyberSecurity Malaysia cyber forensics research and his current interest is in vehicle forensics research area.
Abid is a seasoned executive providing strategic direction, implementation, oversight and guidance on Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Enterprise Risk Management, and Compliance/Ethics. Before joining Axiata, Abid has led a Cybersecurity function and implemented transformational programmes for a large multi-national financial services organisation spanning across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Advisory to the Boards and the CXO suite on Cyber and Privacy related matters. Abid Adam serves as an Executive member to the industry forum, Advisory Board to start-ups and contribute at the World Economic Forum Digital Asean initiatives (Pan ASEAN Data Policy and Cyber Security Taskforce). Adjunct professor and Executive Advisory Board for Cyber(EABC) at Deakin University.
Jeff Knurek manages the Platform team at EzyPay in Kuala Lumpur. After starting off his career working as a web developer in different countries, Jeff saw his passion in code quality and transitioned into QA. This mix grew into the perfect environment for the DevOps space. In his current role with EzyPay, he performs the functions of Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, and Product Owner for the infrastructure/platform team. His past speaking engagements in both Asia and Europe have been focused on developer productivity and the DevOps culture.

Ranjeeta is the Legal Director and Data Protection Officer of Malaysia & Brunei for the DFI Retail Group which operates a chain of supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenient stores and pharmacies. She brings with her nearly 18 years of experience in the legal industry. Ranjeeta successfully attained her Fellowship with MIACSA and the Chartered Governance Institute, U.K. and is a qualified Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional. Ranjeeta holds an LL.B (Hons.) & an LL.M from the University of West of England, Bristol, U.K., was called to the English Bar in 2005 and the Malaysian Bar in 2006. She is a member of the prestigious Lincoln’s Inn, U.K. where she qualified as a Barrister from. She is a Fellow of both, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) U.K. and the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators. She has also obtained her Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration & completed the Mediation course offered by CIArb U.K. Ranjeeta is very active in the ADR scene in Malaysia.
